  You can book a regular driving lesson with us to refresh or improve your driving skills. When booking, please let us know your specific needs so we can tailor the lesson to suit you.

At Princess Driving School, we offer a comprehensive driving test package for $225. This package includes:

• Pick-up from your preferred location.
• A 45-minute pre-test driving lesson to help you get ready.
• Use of your instructor’s vehicle for the driving test.
• Drop-off at your chosen location after the test.
  
  The Princess Driving School Test Package is available to all customers, with the exception of those in ACT, SA, and TAS. Some of our instructors may require you to book a lesson with them prior to scheduling a Test Package, while others offer it as a standalone service.

At Princess Driving School, the number of driving lessons you'll need can vary based on several factors. After your initial lesson, your instructor will provide a recommendation tailored to your needs, considering:

• Your previous driving experience, if any
• Your level of confidence
• How quickly you learn and master driving techniques New Drivers

If you’re starting from scratch with no prior driving experience, we suggest at least 7 to 10 hours of driving lessons with one of our accredited instructors. For those who feel less confident, it’s not uncommon to book up to 20 hours of instruction.

Everyone learns at their own pace, and it’s essential to ensure you’re comfortable with the skills taught during your lessons—not just for your driving test, but for safe and competent driving in general. If you have some driving experience, such as practicing with a family member or friend, we recommend around 5 to 7 hours of instruction to refine your skills and prepare for your driving test. International Driver’s Licence Holders For those with an international driver’s licence, most students book about 2 to 3 hours of instruction to prepare for the driving test.

Given the higher failure rates in this category, we recommend starting with at least 3 to 5 hours of lessons to ensure adequate preparation. Licensed Drivers Learning to Drive a Manual Car If you already hold an Australian Driver's Licence but wish to learn to drive a manual vehicle, 3 to 5 hours of driving lessons are typically required. Please note that these recommendations are general guidelines and may vary based on individual progress and needs.

Your driving instructor from Princess Driving School will always aim to create a learning environment where you feel at ease. If you're nervous about driving or new to it, your instructor will start in a quiet area to assess your skills and build your confidence. As you progress, you'll gradually move from quieter areas to more complex traffic situations at a pace that suits you.

Your instructor will prioritize both your safety and their own throughout the lessons. If you live in a densely populated area and are concerned about finding quieter spots, consider booking a 2-hour driving lesson. This extended time will allow for travel to a more suitable location. You can also discuss your preferences with your instructor after booking your lesson.
